Shipper - Receiver

An immediate opportunity exists for a Shipper-Receiver to work in Proton OnSite's manufacturing department. 

About the Position

The ideal candidate will ship items by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition

  • Comply with all required safety regulations

  • Pick, Package and Ship Sales Orders

  • Coordinate Carrier pick-up as specified

  • Maintain adequate inventory of shipping materials

  • Perform receiving duties

  • Unpackage and move material

  • Make transactions in ERP system

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High level of computer proficiency and ability to accurately enter information

  • Ability to fill out bills of lading and various shipping forms required by the major freight carriers.  

  • Familiar with proper packaging methods

  • Must be able to operate most common material handling equipment and become an approved forklift truck operator.

  • Ability to be certified to various shipping regulations (DOT, IATA)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for long durations

  • Ability to read and interpret packing slips

  • Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a high school education and factory related experience in Shipping and Receiving
